This
mood board was created to induce inspiration for the ‘Sweet Temptations’ pastel
based theme given to us as part of a first year Trend Project. Produced using
Photoshop in a CAD format; this is a refined collation of my initial ideas. As
seen here, this board is of a predominately pale blue orientation - due to my
preference of the shade and plans to incorporate this within my final garment.
After
thorough sketchbook work and continuous development of ideas; these are a
selection of my final designs for my Trend Project. Initially drawn onto layout
paper using Pro-markers and including accurate annotation, I have since scanned
them into a digital format and have arranged both front and back views of each
design appropriately on Photoshop.
After
reviewing my twenty design ideas, I chose to produce this blue full-circular
skirt dress for the second part of our brief; ‘Show Garment Manufacture.’
Illustrated appropriately as part of my final exhibition board – this is the original
drawing scanned in, cropped down but un-edited. I did this fashion illustration
using a combination of watercolour and pencil, due to my preference of sketch
but desire for a professional result due to the nature of the final board.
Edited
on Photoshop and executed with professional Canon cameras; these are two
examples of the work produced for my photography based ‘Spotlight’ project -
which was focused on showing the end
realisation of our Show Garment. Due to my developed taste since this project, I
have found that my original photos weren’t appealing to me. Although the photo’s
I have selected here aren’t of the highest standard; I feel that they showcase my
work more effectively and of more of a high fashion orientation. Plus a sense
of humour is essential in such an industry.
An
interpretation of one of ‘Kathyrn Elyse’s’ fashion illustration; this example
of my work showcases my developed skills regarding wet media, as I produced
this using watercolour and fine liner. Informing my first year mixed media
project, this is a scanned in piece originally found within my sketchbook.
Also
sketchbook examples of my mixed media progress; these are further interpretation
pieces informed my artists such as Virginia Fisher, David Downtown and Marcel
Fromenti. Created using media such as ink, watercolour, fine liner, chalk,
newspaper and tissue paper; since producing these I have scanned them into
Photoshop and created a board to show my varied illustration skills during this
year one project.
Experimenting
with different media as part of my first year fashion illustration project;
these drawings show personally developed figures and my illustrated versions of
existing garments seen in editorial pictures or on runway shows. Working with
charcoal, I was able to develop my knowledge concerning the use of dry media and
continued to mix it with others such as chalk.
